Preventing and curing migraines
It is estimated that more than 28 million Americans suffer from migraine headaches. Migraines affect more woman than men. Migraines are often severe and can be disabling Migraines are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head, hypersensitivity to light and/or sound, nausea, and possibly vomiting. There are both prescription and non-prescription ways to prevent and cure migraines.
Non-Prescription Prevention:
1. Eliminate potential causes. Some foods such as citrus fruits, dairy products, and processed meats may trigger your migraines. Other triggers may include caffeine and alcohol. You should keep a food diary and review it with you doctor to see what may cause your migraines.
2. Manage your stress. If you can avoid the stress that triggers your migraines then do it, but if that is not possible learn some relaxation techniques to help you better manage your stress.
3. Stay on a regular sleep schedule, try to go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning. Too much or too little sleep can trigger migraines.
4. An aspirin regimen, two 81 milligram tablets taken daily. Talk to your doctor first before starting an aspirin regimen.
Prescription Prevention:
1. Naproxen this is commonly found in Aleve, but is also available in prescription strength
2. Topamax is an anti-epileptic drug that is commonly used to help treat seizures, but in recent years it has been shown to help prevent migraines.
3. Beta-blockers such as Lopressor or Timolol.
4. Anti-depressants, it is believed that they may help due to the effect they have on serotonin. Serotonin is the brains chemical messenger to put it in none medical terms.
Non-Prescription Cures:
1. Go for a walk, getting fresh air has been known to help cure migraines
2. Get a massage. A massage can help relieve stress and tension therefore relieving the headache.
3. Follow a well balanced diet high in vitamins, minerals and protein.
4. Take an over the counter medication such as Excedrin, Advil, or Motrin Migraine. These should be taken at the first sign of a Migraine to work best.
5. Stay hydrated, dehydration can cause Migraine headaches. Be sure to drink plenty of water and/or sports drinks.
Prescription Cures:
1. Prescription pills, pills that you swallow and they dissolve to rid you of your headache.
2. Nasal Sprays. A nasal spray is sprayed in each nostril to help relief the headache.
3. Narcotic injections, these are usually a last resort. The injection can be administered intramuscularly or intravenously. If you already have an IV line it will be injected through that. The drugs acts more quickly when given intravenously. If you do not have an IV the injection will be injected intramuscularly into the hip area.
4. Botox injections, studies have shown that botox injections may provide migraine relieve for about 4 to 6 months at a time. Botox is injected at various sites including the brow, eyes, forehead, side of the neck, and in the back of the neck.
5. Prevention of course is the best cure, but Migraines can not always be prevented.
You should talk with your doctor about your migraines and the two of you can decide which treatment and/or treatments are best for you. Always talk to your doctor and or pharmacists about any medications you may already be taking and be sure to read information given to you with your prescriptions.
Atkins Diet: the Delicious Low-carbohydrate Diet
One might probably learned about this low-carbohydrate diet from an infomercial, in a magazine ad, from someone you met while falling in line in the supermarket or from a friend who excitedly rang you up to tell about a good news.
The popularity of the Atkins Diet soared as more and more people claimed by its effectiveness to make the dieter lose weight. American physician and cardiologist and noted nutritionist, Robert Coleman Atkins (1930-2003) was the person behind this diet that focuses on low carbohydrate intake. Dr. Atkins believed that consuming too many carbohydrates tend to make a person bloat and become overweight. He stressed that people should eat foods that are rich in fats and protein than foods that are abundant in carbohydrates since the stored fats can be burned more well by the body if done so.
This low-carbohydrate diet by the late Dr. Atkins continues to gain recognition since it claims to:
- make one lose weight while enjoying tasty meals such as cheese omelets and bacon and eggs
- improve the condition of the heart
- improve one’s memory
Those who follow the Atkins Diet will get their source of energy not from carbohydrates but from the stored fats in their body, and since the body will eventually burn these fats the person will now lose weight. Still, in a day the dieter can consume foods rich in carbohydrates but not more than 40 grams of it. It is also recommended that the dieter take vitamins as supplement, and although exercise isn’t an option, it might do well for some.
This popular low-carbohydrate diet might just be the one type of diet you have been waiting for, especially if you are not keen on those diets that deprive you of eating some delicious meals. For those who might want to try the Atkins Diet, there are plenty of helpful information available at Diet Fads.
hCG for Weight Loss – FACT or FAD?
The use of hCG for weight loss is once again gaining momentum with the help of 7 millions sales of Kevin Trudeau’s latest book, “The Weight Loss Cure.” Dozens of new websites including hCG Diet Info (www.hcgdietinfo.com) and numerous sub-sites to weight clinics and weight loss practitioners are springing up almost overnight. According to the editor of the hCG Diet Info website, their traffic levels have gone from a few dozen hits a week to several thousand a day almost immediately following Kevin Trudeau’s nightly infomercials.
Fact or Fad? Well, the jury is still out. hCG manufacturers declare that the hCG fertility drugs such as Pregnyl which are described in Trudeau’s book, have no effect regarding weight loss. On the other hand, long-term weight loss professionals and physicians offer thousands of hcg diet success stories. Research and reviews are posted on Dr. Belluscio’s website, hCG Obesity (www.hcgobesity.org) who also happened to have developed the highly demanded oral hCG pills.
The hCG weight loss protocol is declared to not only help an individual lose weight regardless if the dieter uses hCG injections or pills, but to perform a metabolic recovery, where the hypothyroid is said to be reset, boosting the metabolism and increasing the person’s ability to burn fat at a much higher rate. hCG is also said to break down body fat, causing rapid weight loss by mass even before registering on a scale. Simultaneously, it is said to protect the endogenous fat and muscle which the body needs to stay healthy, but also avoiding sagging and loose skin known of excessive of weight loss.
The debate amongst practitioners of these protocols argues that the original hCG diet protocol developed by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons should not be modified, as suggested by many, including Kevin Trudeau. However, thousands of dieters are following Trudeau’s advice, finding little wrong with adding large amounts of tea and organic foods to their menu as opposed to the extremely strict 500 calorie diet described in Dr. Simeons manuscript, “Pounds and Inches” (can be found at www.hcgdietinfo.com for free.) Dr. Belluscio, a devoted follower of the Dr. Simeons hcg diet protocol, reminds dieters of the extensive research that went into Dr. ATW Simeons work.
Claims of the diet being unhealthy are plenty, with questions on the use of natural hCG and the fact that it’s produced from the urine of pregnant women- however, most hCG on the market such as Pregnyl is actually synthetic. In addition, concerns that a 500 calorie diet is stressful to the body and specifically on the muscle tissue of the heart, are met with the explanation that the fat being burnt releases thousands of calories into the system before being expelled.
Regardless of these issues, hCG sales are spiking- not only for the substance itself but for related information and supplies. Unfortunately, along with this comes fraud- particularly from faux websites claiming to sell hCG and other prescription drugs. A warning from hCG Diet Info was released recently, after the editor was contacted by a woman who had wired $500 US Dollars through Western Union to a website claiming to be an overseas pharmacy offering hCG but never heard from them again. To avoid this, hCG Diet Info strongly advises hCG dieters to seek their hCG treatment through a nearby provider but if purchasing hCG on the internet, they warn individuals not to wire money via Western Union and to request reviews of sites before making a purchase.
Acomplia information
It looks like that FDA is not in rush at all. Rimonabant acomplia has been approved for sale in Mexico since Nov. 9th. after couple of EU states /like UK/ this drug finally arrived to America. This diet pill is still not a available in all Mexican pharmacies. So highly anticipated diet drug even after two months of approval is not on the sale.
The impending sale of Acomplia in Mexico is clearly of interest to a number of potential American customers, who have decided they want to take the diet pill even though the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is months away from action on approval of the drug for sale in the United States.
The Acomplia is the first selective CB1 receptor blocker and has been approved for use anywhere in the world except USA.
The Rimonabant acomplia is famous by blocking chemical processes directly in the brain, which cause reduce appetite, help liver to burn more fat and it might be effective drug to cure smoking and even alcohol abuse. This drug might bring a new ways of healing obesity and additional health problems.

- You can buy Acomplia an online pharmacy i.e., the France). Usually, you will need to to fill out a brief medical form for review. Doctor will then decide whether to issue a prescription.
- Or you can contact an online pharmacy in Canada. procedure is the same as buying Acomplia from France, just waiting time and prices are lightly higher.

Worrying Statistics of Childhood Obesity
Childhood obesity is growing at an alarming rate. Perhaps you hear that in the news, read the newspapers and watch the on television. A survey done by the Centers for Disease Control found that children ranging from ages 2-5 years, overweight increased from 5% to 13.9%; for children ages 6-11 years, the rate rose from 6.5% to 18.8%, and for kids from 12-19 years of age, the rate increased from 5% to 17.4%.
Moreover, survey from the National Health and Nutrition Examination recently shows the similar results: “17% of children and adolescents ages 2-19 are overweight. Here are their statistics: Overweight children ages 2-5 years rose from 7.2% to 13.9%; ages 6-11 years increased 11% to 19%, and ages 12-19 increased from 11% to 17%.”
These alarming statistics are evidence of just how unhealthy our children are. Obesity is an epidemic in our society. Although actions to ban Trans fat have been taken in most states, problems are still remain. Our children are still consuming fast foods and snacks and are not adhering to any type of nutritional diet.
Most commercial ads on TV target young children and teens with their latest fast food extravaganza. Kids nowadays exercise less, they prefer to spend time playing video games and computers. However, there is more reason to be concerned about our children’s health.
Parents who are overweight and have a sedentary lifestyle are two major contributing factors to overweight children. Studies had shown that children can inherit specific genes from their parents which cause them to have a larger body mass. Recent research also indicates that the hypothalamus gland is now considered to be one of the main causes of obesity in children and adults. However, more studies are being conducted to determine how obesity can be halted and eventually cured.
The United States has the highest obesity level than any other country. Yet in Japan, obesity is almost non-existent because their diet consists of high fiber and low fat meals. Obesity can kill. It is the number one cause of cardiovascular disease among children and adults.
You may have heard that people are living longer these days. Contrary to this belief, a recent survey determined that 77.5 is the median age for us as compared to every other nation in the world whose longevity age is higher. In fact, we are ranked in the low 20’s. This says a great deal about not only our lifestyle but our nutritional values as well.
Children are a precious commodity and obesity is the catalyst that is causing a decline in their health. Pediatricians are more than concerned about the rise in diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and other chronic illnesses that are direct causes of obesity in children. Being overweight is not just a serious health issue; it is a social issue as well. Until additional research can find a cure, most experts recommend portion control for overweight children including a nutritional diet and exercise program.
The first step in fighting against childhood obesity is to cultivate a habit of eating healthy foods. Click here for information on how you can cultivate a healthy eating habit for yourself and your family.
Dieting Vs. Non Dieting: 5 Myths Designed to Keep you Chained to Emotional Eating
Diets don’t work for most people. If you’re a gal who’s been struggling with trying to watch your weight, you know that it’s very difficult to stick to a diet. By exposing these myths, I’d like to help you to make the leap that will move you beyond a life restricted by dieting so that you can finally gain freedom from emotional eating.
Myth #1 – Eat three meals a day plus healthy snacks “Oh boy, it’s 12:00. We should be eating now.” Have you been eating by the clock? This is entirely too much emphasis on food and eating. In order to truly become free of food’s psychological tug on you, it’s important to tune back into your body’s feelings and sensations of hunger. Diets encourage people to fear their hunger, and to avoid it at all costs. The implied message in that is that you just can’t be trusted around food because you have a feast beast lurking inside of you, just waiting to pounce and eat everything in sight. That’s a lot of hooey!
Your body has it’s own clock and way of telling you when it wants to eat. Through years of dieting, that sensitivity has been dulled down and anesthetized. The good news is you can learn how to tune into that awareness anytime despite years of dieting.
Myth #2 – Eat a good breakfast – On a typical morning, you have most likely been resting all night long, and during that time, all your body processes have gone into sleep mode, slowing down and going into a rest phase expending very little energy. Unless you are a farm worker, like my dear friend Sandy who owned a dairy farm in Albany, New York and had to wake up at the crack of dawn to milk her cows, you don’t have to have a big hearty breakfast to fuel up for the hard work ahead. It’s up to you, but when you actually have a choice, you may not want to eat a big breakfast every day. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a choice again?
Myth #3 – Eat only lowfat or diet foods – For the most part these foods are laboratory produced and contain large amounts of additives and chemicals to make them taste good so you’ll end up eating more. Without even knowing it, you’ve been practicing non fat gluttony.
In fact what has been happening is that you’ve been conditioned to overeat these foods, thinking that they are okay because they are less calories. The sad thing is that this kind of thinking contributes to the kind of compulsive eating behavior that may have contributed to your being overweight but it’s not too late to undo the damage. When you begin to eat the real food that you crave as opposed to the sugar or fat free substitute that you’ve come to know so well, you will experience a new level of satisfaction in your eating. Fat by its very nature satisfies the body longer. It takes a longer time to metabolize and it stays with you.
Myth #4 – Don’t eat beyond a certain hour. Now honestly do you really think that your body stops working and processing food after let’s say 6:00 in the evening? No way. It’s all according to your own personal schedule and what you’ve eaten throughout the day. In other words, it’s all up to you and what you feel is appropriate. When I began to stop dieting almost a year ago, when I would get hungry at night, I would probably have chosen something that would have seemed more forbidden, now it doesn’t turn me on the way that it used to. The allure is gone. My tastes have changed without even trying.
Myth #5 – Avoid fattening foods. Those are the best foods aren’t they? They are the ones that you want the most. By continually avoiding those foods you are denying and depriving yourself. Noone likes to be told what they can and can not do. If you believe that certain foods are off limits, then you will want them more. You’ll feel deprived not having them and crave them like mad.
The ultimate decision is yours. To diet or not to diet. Consider this. By filling your pantries and stocking your cabinets and refrigerators with real food, you are sending your brain a message that you are not depriving yourself any longer. You are telling your body that the drought is over and it can begin to relax and before you know it, you’ll look at those foods with new eyes. This non diet approach along with learning how to cope with your emotions besides eating is the secret to losing weight without dieting.
The Biggest Mistakes Men Make in a Relationship
Relationships are difficult to sustain. Very few relationships sustain for long with both partners totally happy. Most people carry through a relationship without any joy.
We all start our new relationships with hopes, dreams, and wonderful aspirations. But oftentimes, we see couples, or in our own relationships, where things turn sour. What can be done to keep a relationship strong and joyous? Avoid this common mistakes.
1. Not investing enough time in your relationship
2. “Housework” is not just for women. You can learn how to do laundry, vacuum the house and wash the dishes if you haven’t learned in the past.
3. Your partner is NOT your Mom and is not responsible to help you remember what it takes to keep harmony and peace in your relationship.
4. Thinking everything is about you and for you. Basically being selfish in a relationship.
5. Storming out of an argument without an agreement to at least come back later for resolution
6. Not listening too and supporting your partner’s ideas even if you don’t believe in them
7. Constantly talking smack about her family members. You knew who they were before you became involved with her and whether you like it or not, they are there to stay. Please remember that blood is thicker than water. That doesn’t mean you can’t voice an opinion occasionally, it just means don’t constantly rail on her family even if you are right. You’ll plant a seed in her that may grow into a thorn bush.
8. Not taking your time in bed with her to allow her to grab a piece of heaven. Men want quick affection, sex, and security with a woman. And then we want the space and relaxed distance. Women want space and relaxed distance. THEN they want affection, sex, and a build-up of trust and security.
9. Not learning to be emotionally available. Women aren’t asking you to stop being a man, just talk about who you are, where you came from, past history and future dreams.) If this is hard for you, seek help or join a group.
Counseling can be difficult for men. It is traditionally based on talking and sharing. These are more conducive for women. But there are male counselors out there and you don’t have to go to just anyone. You have the power of choice. Going to counseling is not a sign of weakness. Not going is more a sign of weakness, because you are avoiding the real problems and stand to lose your love relationship.
Also there are another mistakes that a men should avoid:
* Never tell any woman that she has put on weight, even if you think it only makes her sexier, keep silent. Most women are fiercely fighting against extra pounds – they are dieting, taking pills, and work out until they faint.
* Don’t nag at her for spending the whole day and a fortune in a beauty parlor. For girls a new hairstyle or fresh manicure symbolizes a new life.
* Never criticize her cooking skills, even in the most delicate way (“My mom usually adds eggs in the pancake batter”). Your mom has nothing to do with your relationship.
* Never praise another woman’s looks if your girlfriend is around. Beware that the mere fact that divas of this caliber exist on the same planet makes the life of every woman miserable. Your girlfriend is concerned about her body, no matter how perfect she seems to you.
* Don’t take your girlfriend to a soccer (hockey, golf, etc.) tournament. She will either sit there bored and ruin your fun, or will get to like the sport and in no time she will know more about soccer (hockey, golf, etc.) than you do, which will piss you off eventually. This way she will deprive you of one of our main guys’ pleasures.
* In most of relationships both partners try to avoid conflicts .Conflict includes such examples as arguments, differences, and variances. The Truth is, we are all different. That’s what makes each one of us special. But, sometimes we try to avoid our partner. This is much like number one on the list but is more keenly felt by the partner. Worst is that we blame others (or other things) and deny our own self-responsibility. When we avoid responsibility, we typically express it as blaming others, usually our partner, and try to make them change and conform. This is a form of manipulation and an avoidance of Self. Many of us refuse to get help.
If you had the methods and the tools to keep your relationship alive, loving and healthy you don’t need any advices but if not you should avoid this mistakes.

The Ugly Truth About Fat Cells and Diets
As we all know, the majority of Americans are overweight – approximately two-thirds of adults and over 15% of both children and teens are so labeled. It seems so easy to put it on and oh, so hard to take off. Remember the very first diet you ever tried? The weight came right off, and then before you knew it, it was right back on again. The next diet you went on may have been a little more difficult. Oh, those dratted fat cells! What makes them so hard to get rid of anyway? HowStuffWorks.com explains that “Fat cells are formed in the developing fetus during the third trimester of pregnancy, and later at the onset of puberty.” Following puberty, the number of fat cells usually remains the same (they just get bigger) unless as HowStuffWorks.com points out, the adult gains a significant amount of weight or has liposuction. Wait a minute! Just hold on there! Don’t people get liposuction in order to remove fat cells? So now you tell me they can come back? The culprit is a hormone called Leptin. When fat is removed, Leptin levels drop, causing an auto-correction mechanism in your body to increase your appetite (and of course, eating) in order to restore normal Leptin levels. As eating increases, new fat cells are created to make up for the ones that disappeared. “Whew,” the body says, “now we are back to normal!” Doesn’t the body realize we are only trying to improve things? Apparently not!
From the Tooele County website, there is more discouraging news. Unlike red and white blood cells, that after they are no longer needed, simply dissolve and leave the body via the skin, urine or bowel, fat cells never go away unless the Liposuction option is exercised and that’s beginning to sound like not such a good option! Not only do fat cells not go away, but they can divide and grow, repeating this process infinitum!
So, there you have it! The most you can hope for in a diet is to shrink the nasty little devils and try to prevent them from taking over your body again. Most diets will work, at least in the beginning, but winning the battle of the bulge is going to take more than just a good beginning. The reason most diets fail is due to the poor nutrition, i.e., starvation that the body is subjected to and the leaching of muscle mass to feed the body. Eventually, things get so out of balance that the body once again tries to preserve its fat storage just in case it is subjected to starvation again and increases the appetite in order to restore normal functioning.
Woe is me, you must be thinking! Not only am I stuck with these fat cells forever, but they can divide endlessly! Additionally, my body is fighting me every step of the way. Wait! There may actually be a solution! A major discovery revolving around the amino acid, Leucine that has surfaced lately indicates that sufficient amounts of this amino acid positively affect muscle retention. It is no surprise then, that Leucine-rich diets especially when accompanied by exercise can produce impressive results. There are numerous articles and endless scientific journal data supporting these findings. Just Google “leucine muscle” to do your own research. Keeping muscle is obviously a good thing, but how do you loose weight, or more specifically inches, since muscle weighs lots more than fat, without activating the body’s survival responses? The answer is to select a high-quality Leucine diet plan that provides balanced nutrition, energy and satisfies hunger without sacrificing your body’s basic needs. I personally have tried a great Leucine diet that I hardily recommend. It may be found at http://www.cinchplan.com/nancy_chappell. It is very reasonably priced, comes with everything you need to start immediately, and is the easiest diet to follow and live with I have ever experienced! People on this diet report not only inch and weight loss as a result, but also improved health and increased energy. With most diets, the most you can hope for is to lose a few pounds and just live through it. What I am suggesting is not just a diet, but a whole new “weigh” of life, so don’t do it if you are not sincerely committed to making a change for the better. Want to do something really good for yourself? Check it out! The product is 100% guaranteed, but the price is subject to change, so do it right away. You have nothing to lose, but the fat!
